With ScanFont, you can turn graphics into fonts. Any bitmap image or outline illustration can be quickly converted into a fully-workable TrueType, Type 1 or OpenType font. With ScanFont you can Put a signature, logo or symbol into a font, turn someone's handwriting into a font, convert old print lettering or letterhead into modern electronic format, create symbol fonts and more. ScanFont 5 can works as a plugin for one of the following font editors: FontLab Studio 5, TypeTool 3 or the upcoming AsiaFont Studio 5.

Automatically separate the image into single character shapes — using several presets and customizable precision. Adjust character baselines and remove any unwanted shapes. Export the character shapes into an outline font editor — using a fine-tuneable autotracer, optimized for font creation. Finalize and generate a Type 1, TrueType or OpenType font — using TypeTool, FontLab Studio or AsiaFont Studio.
